We are currently seeking a Community & Social Media Manager to join our Marketing Team from our office in Barcelona to contribute to our mission of scaling great games and studios to new heights!

As the Community & Social Media Manager, you will work closely with the Marketing, Player Support, Live Ops, Creative, and Product Teams in delivering best-in-class, cutting-edge community and social media programs. You should demonstrate passion for the gaming industry by implementing a love for the game communities and act as an advocate for players as well as the production teams through forums, live streams, as well as social media outlets:

  • Lead community and social media strategy and execution across your allocated games, overseeing strategies for multiple titles simultaneously.
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content across social platforms, leveraging tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and scheduling platforms like Hootsuite or Sprout Social to maintain a consistent and high-quality content calendar.
  • Achieve growth and engagement goals; analyze and draw conclusions from previous social campaigns to increase the performance of new ones, optimizing both content and strategy based on performance data.
  • Measure the impact of social initiatives on key performance indicators such as game retention, engagement, and acquisition.
  • Champion and execute new community programs such as VIP initiatives, live streaming sessions, direct in-game interactions with players, and user-generated content campaigns to foster deeper player relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with players; monitor and moderate game communities and conversations, managing groups of moderators across platforms like Discord, Reddit, and social media networks.
  • Mitigate community issues and resolve conflicts proactively to ensure a positive and inclusive player environment.
  • Gather and report player feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement or innovation; pitch content and community-focused ideas to development and publishing teams.
  • Build and manage community platforms including Discord Servers (with custom bots), Subreddits, and dedicated forums, tailoring each space to mid-core and hard-core audiences.
  • Lead and manage a Community Ambassador program, fostering strong relationships to incentivize content creation, event participation, and community engagement.
  • Create and schedule social media posts, using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics) to monitor performance and refine content strategies.
  • Design and produce visual assets (images, short videos, GIFs, etc.) that support social campaigns and maintain brand consistency, using tools like Photoshop, After Effects, or Figma.
  • Track competitive activity and social media trends; apply best practices in content creation and recommend new campaign ideas, tools, and platforms to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Managers to expand the game's social presence and contribute meaningfully to overarching marketing campaigns with coordinated social initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with Player Support and Development teams to address player concerns, improve sentiment, and deliver a better overall player experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective execution across teams using Agile workflows and tools like Jira, Trello, or Notion.

This position reports to the Community & Social Senior Manager and works closely with Marketing, Creative and Product functions. 

 

Skills And Requirements 🌟

  • +3 years of experience in the industry, with at least 1 year specifically focused on engaging mid-core and hard-core audiences (Must).
  • Native or high level English verbal and written communication skills (Must).
  • Past experience as a content creator (Nice to have).
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about online communities, mobile gaming, and industry trends.
  • Experience managing groups of moderators on Discord and other platforms, ensuring effective communication and community guidelines.
  • Proven experience in managing a Community Ambassador program, maintaining relationships with ambassadors to drive content creation and community engagement.
  • Past experience with live streaming, VIP programs, in-game player engagement, live events, and direct player interactions, as well as mitigating community-related issues, is a bonus.
  • Coordination and planning of live events for the player community, including regular and/or VIP players.
  • Experience leading Social Media and Community strategies for different games, with the ability to manage multiple games and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Project Management, with an Agile approach, ensuring efficient project execution and team collaboration.
  • General knowledge of community engagement: from social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Snapchat, TikTok) to in-game guilds and alliances, live streaming, social influencers, and VIP relationships.
  • Proactive approach: Keep a pulse on trends and player feedback to ensure an excellent game experience.
  • Analytical: focused on making data-driven decisions and analyzing game impact.
  • Familiar with social publishing & listening tools, such as Spredfast, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or another relevant field.
