Game Designer

At Tilting Point, we combine data, technology, talent and groundbreaking marketing to scale games to success. Our Game Designer will own the product and team vision to create hit mobile games together with development partners. This key position will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to drive TiltingPoint’s future and road toward becoming the top game publisher and partner of choice for funding, marketing and co-development.

For this role, we're open to remote US employees as long as you're able to work EST hours and reside in one of the following states by your start date: NY, NJ, CT, NH, MA, ME, CA, WA, AZ & FL

Your Future at Tilting Point

  • Act as TP's primary design lead on a co-dev project(s)
  • Be a representative of Tilting Point to the developer, driving them in a strong product direction based off KPI/design analysis
  • Weekly to Bi-Weekly design reports to partners – provide analysis on game data and from this derive suggestions for features, game design roadmaps
  • Creating KPI/Data-driven design features, game economy, difficulty balancing, monetization, live-ops, and UI/UX designs
  • Ownership on major feature recommendations, implementation, & live-game performance
  • Reviewing & providing feedback to developer’s game economy design, progression tuning, core loops, feature spec, and level balance
  • Actively participate in the search for publishing/UA opportunities for Tilting Point including evaluating game demo submissions & pitch/targeting new games for Tilting Point to publish
  • Periodically assist Tilting Point’s Business Development and UA teams by discussing projects with potential partners and analyzing potential of games based off of design and UA performance
  • Provide insight and critique on the best practices seen in top grossing F2P mobile games & competitor games

Your XP & Skills

  • Strong verbal or written communication skills
    • Share design knowledge across the teams
    • Ability to present to 3rd party developers on analysis of their games
    • Integrate with 3rd party developers for a time to help with specific designs
  • Actively contributed to the improvement live game or UA game performance
  • Completed degree in game design or a related field, or relevant industry experience
  • Strong interest in video games across all platforms with a focus on digital, mobile and free-to-play games (Web3 / Play to Earn a plus)
  • Basic understanding of core mobile game metrics (retention, DAU, etc.)
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data analysis
  • Driven to continue expanding game design capabilities, knowledge of market trends, and overall communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
