As a UI Artist at Wicked Realm games you will work side-by-side with a diverse team of designers, artists, product owners and engineers to help create world-class mobile game experiences. We are a part of the Tilting Point family; we combine data, technology, talent and groundbreaking marketing to scale games to success.

The ideal candidate cares about bringing a product to life through subjective artistic excellence, and is able to consistently and predictably produce beautiful user interfaces. Your portfolio will demonstrate that you have a strong proficiency in graphic design, design standards, a developed aesthetic taste, a strong eye towards current visual trends, and experience designing interfaces. Your UI contributions are competitive with competitor products in the gaming space and reinforce an authenticity to the creative vision of our games.

Your XP & Skills

  • Create User Interface elements of exceptional visual and functional quality from wire frames.
  • Follow and contribute to a UI style guide outlining and defining the use of color, shape and state changes of game interfaces.
  • Creation of UI element motion graphics and user feedback visuals, while keeping within optimization limits.
  • Create User Interface elements using industry standard graphic design and production tools / methods such as Adobe Creative Suite and Affinity Photo/Designer.
  • Export User Interface elements as game-ready assets' and 'to be implemented in-engine by our Engineers.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other developers to create player-centric experiences and features.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant best practices, design tools and software; conduct secondary research into current and emerging trends in user interface styles, innovations and technology.

 

What We Seek

  • Experience on at least one game title or equivalent experience, ideally in the free-to-play/mobile market.
  • Experience in the role of UI Artist or UI/UX Designer on game products and/or mobile products.
  • Exceptional graphic design and compositional abilities using typography, layout, and color.
  • A Gamer with a passion for games, entertainment art and functional and effective design.
  • Strong intuitions about what makes for highly usable and enjoyable experiences that drive continuous engagement and social interaction.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, presenting, oral.
  • Optional: Experience prototyping, testing, and iterating UX flows, Experience creating UI in the Unity game editor, Experience conducting user testing.

  • Graphic design examples.
  • Game interface examples.
