  • Own, optimize, test, and track storefront text, keywords, and other app store content, including all localized versions.

IP licensing

Finance Manager

Summary

In this role, you’ll handle all of the company’s finance and accounting operations, external reporting, tax compliance, and FP&A activities. As Finance Manger, you will maintain relationships with outside parties including external auditors, tax advisors, banks, Tilting Point investors, and developer partners, and will enhance Tilting Point’s relationships with all business partners by exemplifying the company’s core values of competence and integrity. ACCOUNTING

  • Manage all accounting operations, including AP, AR, revenue recognition, and fixed asset capitalization.
  • Own all month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, consolidation, and P&L review; prepare and review financial statements for Tilting Point and related entities.
  • Review and interpret Tilting Point contracts with game developers and other third parties to ensure compliance with financial commitments and obligations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments and related reporting to Tilting Point’s game developer partners.
  • Maintain US GAAP compliant books and ensure appropriate audit trail for all transactions; coordinate and lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.

FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS         

  • Drive Tilting Point’s financial forecast, budgeting process, operating plan, and variance analyses.
  • Communicate proactively with internal business partners to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project-level financial information.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report consolidated results and forecast to Tilting Point management team monthly; respond to questions and present updates as needed.
  • Maintain and improve forecast model and drive ongoing improvements to Tilting Point’s reporting and planning tools.

BOOKKEEPING

  • Perform a variety of routine, clerical accounting tasks supporting all Tilting Point activities using standardized best practices.
  • Collect all invoices, obtain required approvals, and process all required payments accurately and on time.
  • Process expense reports and credit card payments with accurate, project-level accounting.
  • Work with third party payroll service provider to ensure payroll is processed properly, including required withholding and regulatory compliance.

TAX

  • Oversee tax functions and coordinate with outside tax advisors to ensure timely federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Be the point of contact for all tax matters including but not limited to partnership transactions, 1099s, commercial rent tax, withholdings, sales tax/VAT etc.

TREASURY

  • Own relationship with Tilting Point’s banks and all related compliance; administer banking functions and ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Forecast weekly cash flows, control disbursements, and optimize uses of funds; monitor lines of credit and anticipate business credit needs.
  • Monitor foreign exchange rates applied to Tilting Point international transactions.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

  • Establish key company-wide policies: identify policies that are needed, draft and document required policies, coordinate policy reviews and approval processes.
  • Maintain, review, and improve chart of accounts.
  • Train Tilting Point staff on company policies and procedures and enforce adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations.

AD HOC

  • Research, interpret, and implement new US GAAP pronouncements; assess the impact on Tilting Point’s financial statements and accounting policies; liaise with senior management and external auditors as required; perform other accounting research as necessary.
  • Assess and lead efforts to improve accounting and financial reporting systems.

Summary

The Data Engineer Intern will play a key role in supporting our Analytics and Product Teams. Your Future at TPM

  • Learn from game industry experts in data science and analytics
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and customer service to help define technology needs for the logging, processing, storage and presentation of data in a manner that delivers business value
  • Liaise with third parties for data integration and validation
  • Implement, maintain and improve ETL/DDL processes
  • Build and maintain specific technical and/or database projects from the ground up

Your XP & Skills

  • Hands on experience in Java, Python, or other object oriented programming languages.
  • Familiar with Javascript, node.js, or any front end technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL and able to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Experience in web technologies, REST web services is a plus.
  • Prior working experience in implementing database designs, generating and monitoring regular reports is a plus.
  • Knowledge of big data ecosystems, like Hadoop, spark, etc. is a plus.
  • Graduating between Dec 2017 – May 2017

Location: New York, New York (Midtown Manhattan)

This is a paid internship starting as soon as your schedule allows. Full-time participation is strongly preferred but part-time schedules may be accommodated.
